I'd like to take a moment to introduce myself and my studio. ​I am Helen Grimbleby, a quiet, calm, thoughtful kind of artist.

I am a self taught contemporary artist interested in landscape art and seascape paintings. I create original paintings in my studio in Newbury, West Berkshire. I am so lucky to be able to access the beautiful South Coast of England, the New Forest and the South Downs from here. The rolling hills of Oxfordshire and Wiltshire are also on my doorstep. There is an endless supply of inspiration for me to draw on.

My studio is a tiny box room in my home in the English countryside. It is small but perfect. ​A happy place, full of brushes, paints, canvas and INSPIRATION.

My painting process starts outdoors with oil painting, inks and watercolour. I respond freely to landscapes and seascapes that inspire me. I collate my ideas and drawings in sketchbooks. These become my references for other acrylic landscape canvas art or landscape oil paintings.
